HVAC Leaks can cause Damage to Your Home

Your HVAC system produces moisture when it runs and is designed to drain the excess water away from the home. If the drain line gets plugged (dirt rodents, spiders) the unit can possible overflow. If the unit happens to be in your attic like the picture shows it can lead to surprises inside your home.

SERVPRO of LODI was called out to investigate a water leak in Oakdale, CA when we arrived we discovered a mouse had made a nest inside the drain line of the customers HVAC, which in turn caused the line to back up and water to flow down into the customers home. Their ceiling and walls were wet, the ceiling was so high we needed to install scaffolding to elevate our drying equipment up enough to successfully dry the building.
