Commercial - Customer Reviews

8/17/2022 (Permalink)

I would go 10 Stars..... honestly!  About a month ago I called in to have them come out because we had a small over flow in our master bathroom.  My spouse and I cleaned it up and dried it ourselves but I wanted to make sure we got it good enough to prevent mold.  Perry came out and confirmed we did great work and there were zero concerns with potential mold.  I got an estimate for future carpet cleaning and knew this was my go to company for anything they do.

The past Saturday I came home and opened our garage door to water dripping from the bottom of it and flowing from our laundry room door.  My spouse was home and our water out hose disconnected from the washer and went everywhere.  I was so mind blown I didn't even know where to start so I went straight to our breaker box and killed everything while my mind kept racing.  Honestly, I couldn't remember the name of the company that came last month, but I remembered Perry so I searched yelp again looking for the highest ranked business in the area and called.  When the call was answered they asked how they can help and I literally asked "do you have a Perry with this company?"  She said yes but he is unavailable at the moment can we get the next available tech to help? I said yes please as long as I know I'm with the right company I need someone out here as soon as possible...

Standards For Water Damage - ANSI / IICRC

6/13/2022 (Permalink)

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) set a standard and reference guide for water damage restoration that SERVPRO of Lodi follows.

This guide, known as the S500, provides a specific set of practical standards for water damage restoration. It is based on reliable restoration principles, research and practical experience.

The 3 Basic Categories of Water:

Category 1 originates from a sanitary source and poses no substantial risk from dermal, ingestion, or inhalation exposure. However, it may not always remain clean after it comes into contact with other surfaces or materials.

Category 2 contains significant contamination and has the potential to cause discomfort or sickness if contacted or consumed by humans. It may contain potentially unsafe levels of microorganisms or nutrients for microorganisms, as well as other organic or inorganic matter (chemical or biological).

Category 3 is grossly contaminated and may contain pathogenic, toxigenic or other harmful agents. Such water sources may carry silt, organic matter, pesticides, heavy metals, regulated materials, or toxic organic substances.

Time and temperature can also affect the quality of water, thereby changing its category.

*Refer to the IICRC S500 for complete definitions.

The 4 Primary Classifications of Water Damage:

Class 1 is the least amount of water, absorption and evaporation.  It affects only part of a room or area, or larger areas containing materials that have absorbed minimal moisture.  Little or no wet carpet and/or cushion is present.

Class 2 involves a large amount of water, absorption and evaporation.  It affects at least an entire room of carpet and cushion (pad).  Water has wicked up walls less than 24 inches.  There is moisture remaining in structural materials and substructure soil.

Class 3 involves the greatest amount of water, absorption and evaporation.  Water may have come from overhead.  Ceilings, walls, insulation, carpet, cushion and subfloor in virtually all of the entire area are saturated.

Class 4 relates to specialty drying situations.  Wet materials with very low permeance/porosity (eg. hardwood, plaster, brick, concrete, light-weight concrete and stone).  Typically, there are deep pockets of saturation, which require very low specific humidity.  These types of losses may require longer drying times and special methods.

*Refer to the IICRC S500 for complete definitions.

Residential and Commercial Air Duct Cleaning Professionals

6/13/2022 (Permalink)

While your commercial business is focused on providing a service, it’s easy to forget the services you need as well. One thing you should always put first is making sure that your employees are breathing clean air and are operating in a safe work environment. Chemicals, pollen, construction debris and dust can easily be transferred from the exterior of a building to interior through the air duct system. Here are a few advantages to having your building’s HVAC system professionally cleaned by a SERVPRO of LODI professional:

  • Allergies & Dust - Having your commercial business’s air ducts cleaned by SERVPRO of LODI can help fight allergies because pollen and dust particles will be removed in the process and the affected area will become sanitized and more conducive to a safe work environment.
  • Efficiency - Years of dust, hair, pests, and other pollutants in ductwork will hinder an HVAC system’s airflow. A proper cleaning will help remove the buildup and promote the proper airflow needed to run the system at peak efficiency.
  • Eliminate Odor - The professional technicians at SERVPRO of LODI use their specialized chemicals to break down the molecular bonds that create troublesome odors. This helps to improve the overall air quality within the entire building and reduces the chances of your employees feeling uncomfortable from strange and unsettling odors that may linger in the air.

Constant Rain Equals Leaky Roofs!

6/13/2022 (Permalink)

With the relentless series of storms we've seen since last December, SERVPRO of Lodi has seen a marked increase in water damage from roof leaks. Roof leaks are a challenge! A roof leak generally happens at the worst possible time, typically during the peak of a heavy rain or windstorm.

Roofs will leak for a number of reasons, including shoddy construction, holes made by animals, missing shingles thanks to intense wind and rain, problems with plumbing vents, damaged flashing, and clogged and overflowing gutters. Consider the age of the roof, too. It may be so old and worn that it’s time for a proper replacement. Additionally, skylights and chimneys traditionally leak because they’re essentially sealed holes in the roof! There's a phrase: there's 2 types of skylights, those that leak and those that will....

Typically you’ll see a stain on a wall or ceiling that’ll give you an idea you have a leak coming from somewhere. In extreme cases SERVPRO of Lodi has been called out when the ceiling has already come crashing down. The insulation in attics is very absorbent and can hold quite a bit of water; a slow leak can sometimes take weeks to reveal itself, usually with a loud crash and ceiling drywall and insulation covering everything in the house!

The best time to trace where the leak is coming from is to examine its trail as best you can when it’s raining outside. SERVPRO of Lodi has the tools to help track the leak to its source. Once it's found a roofer can come by and either temporarily tarp the roof or get it repaired if the rains stopped!

Why SERVPRO of Lodi for Construction Protection

6/13/2022 (Permalink)

Every construction project, no matter how large or small, will create a cleaning project. Fortunately, there are many ways to keep post construction cleaning to a minimum, all of which SERVPRO of Lodi can provide. We work with numerous local remodeling contractors to be sure your home is kept clean and dust free throughout the rebuilding process.

Pre-construction site protection certainly has some financial benefits. It will reduce required labor, prevent incidental damage to unprotected areas, and shorten project lifetime. Containment also has some safety benefits – it creates a safety barrier to keep non-construction people away from the work area and it will help prevent the spread of airborne particles/construction dust, some of which may be toxic and difficult to clean completely.

Overtime these particles settle over surfaces and belongings, traveling through HVAC systems and permeating throughout the home. It is possible to suffer from post construction dust for months or even years, especially if the HVAC system has not been properly sealed or cleaned. This can negatively affect the occupants, chiefly those with compromised immune systems or those sensitive to allergens.

Our IICRC certified team creates a site protection plan in accordance to each customer’s unique needs. Construction and site protection can at times be obstructive to those who choose to occupy the home throughout the project. However, our team strives to design contaminate shields that won’t compromise the occupants’ use of the home. By utilizing our vast range of materials to protect HVAC systems, carpeting, walls, ceilings, and everything in between, SERVPRO of Lodi can save you time and best of all money.

Why SERVPRO for Fire Protection

6/13/2022 (Permalink)

There are numerous causes of fires in homes and businesses. Depending on what materials burn, this can produce different types of smoke and soot.

Below is a list of the types of smoke and soot and their characteristics:

Wet Smoke – Caused by burning plastics and synthetic materials; Low heat, smoldering, pungent odor, sticky, smeary.

Dry Smoke – Caused by burning paper and wood; Fast burning, high temperatures, dry, powdery, non-smeary residues.

Protein – Virtually invisible, discolors paints and varnishes, extreme pungent odor.

Fuel Oil Soot – Furnace Puff Backs. Other Types – Tear gas, fingerprint powder and fire extinguisher residue.

What to do after a fire:

  • Keep hands clean and wear gloves so as not to further soil upholstery, walls and woodwork.
  • Place clean towels or old linens on rugs, upholstery and carpet traffic areas to avoid spreading soot.
  • If the electricity is off, empty the freezer and refrigerator and prop doors open to avoid odor from rotting food.
  • Clean and protect chrome with a light coating of petroleum jelly or oil.
  • Wash houseplants gently on both sides of leaves.

What NOT to do after a fire:

  • Don't attempt to wash any walls or painted surfaces or shampoo carpet or upholstery without contacting SERVPRO of Lodi.
  • Don't attempt to clean any electrical appliances that may have been close to fire, heat, or water without consulting an authorized repair service.
  • Don't use any canned or packaged food or beverages that may have been stored near the fire, heat or water.
  • Don't turn on ceiling fixtures if the ceiling is wet. The wiring may be damaged.
  • Don't send garments to an ordinary dry cleaner. Improper cleaning may result in permanent damage.

Smoke Alarms Saves Lives

6/13/2022 (Permalink)

For the past 3 weeks as I've stood in my front yard of my home I've heard an annoying chirp of one of my neighbors smoke alarms letting them (and me!) know that the batteries are low. While we joke that the alarm battery usually runs down at 3:00 AM, there is a reason behind the madness!

Smoke alarms play a vital role in saving lives, and when properly installed, can reduce the risk of fire injury in half. The National Fire Protection Association recommends smoke alarms be installed in every bedroom, outside all sleeping quarters and on every level of the house. Business owners should consult the local Fire Marshall to ensure specific building fire codes and smoke detector requirements are met.

Smoke alarms work best when paired with a fire escape plan. A plan allows your family, employees or clients to escape quickly and safely in an emergency situation.

Smoke Alarm Safety Tips

  • Install smoke alarms on every level of the home, including the basement.
  • Smoke alarms should be installed away from the kitchen to prevent false alarms. Generally, they should be at least 10 feet from a cooking appliance.
  • Test smoke alarms at least once a month using the test button.
  • Replace batteries in all smoke alarms at least once a year. If an alarm "chirps", the battery is low and should be replaces right away.
  • Replace all smoke alarms when they are 10 years old.

Rain, Rain Go Away!

4/5/2022 (Permalink)

With the relentless series of storms we've seen since last December, SERVPRO of Lodi has seen a marked increase in water damage from roof leaks. Roof leaks can be a challenge to deal with! A roof leak happens at the worst possible time, typically during the peak of a heavy rain or windstorm.

A roof will leak for a number of reasons, including shoddy construction, holes made by animals, missing shingles thanks to intense wind and rain, problems with plumbing vents, damaged flashing and clogged and overflowing gutters. Consider the age of the roof, too. It may be so old and worn that it’s time for a proper replacement. Additionally, skylights and chimneys traditionally leak because they’re essentially sealed holes in the roof! There's a joke, there's 2 types of skylights, those that leak and those that will....

Typically you’ll see a stain on a wall or ceiling that’ll give you an idea you have a leak coming from somewhere.

In extreme cases SERVPRO of Lodi has been called out when the ceiling has already come crashing down. The insulation in attics is very absorbent and can hold quite a bit of water; a slow leak can take weeks sometimes to reveal itself, usually with a loud crash and ceiling drywall and insulation covering everything in the house!

The best time to trace where the leak is coming from is to examine its trail as best you can when it’s raining outside. SERVPRO of Lodi has the tools to help track the leak to its source. Once it's found, a roofer can come by and either temporarily tarp the roof or get it repaired if the rains stopped! SERVPRO of Lodi is "Here to Help" 24/7

Fire Preparedness

9/3/2021 (Permalink)

Fire experts agree, people have as little as two minutes to escape a burning home before it’s too late to get out.* In a matter of moments, a small flame can become a major fire, making it critical to be prepared and have an escape plan in place. A survey conducted by the American Red Cross shows only 26 percent of families have developed and practiced a home fire escape plan. Once a plan is developed, it is critical everyone in the home understands the plan; the best way to do this is by practicing the escape plan at least twice a year. Increase your chance of surviving a fire by ensuring you have working smoke detectors in place, building an escape plan, and then practicing the escape plan. The following are a few suggestions to help you develop an emergency escape plan.

Draw a map of each level of your home and show all doors and windows. Find two ways to get out of each room. Make sure all doors and windows that lead outside open easily.

Consider escape ladders for sleeping areas on the second and third floors. Only purchase collapsible escape ladders evaluated by a recognized testing laboratory. Store them near the window where they will be used.

Choose an outside meeting place a safe distance in front of your home where everyone can meet after they’ve escaped. Make sure to mark the location of the meeting place on your escape plan.

Teach children how to escape on their own in case you cannot help them. Plan for everyone in your home with special considerations for elderly or disabled individuals.

SERVPRO of Lodi is ready at a moments notice to help get you and your home back to its preloss condition. We're available 24/7 209-368-6119

Temporary Power Outages

9/3/2021 (Permalink)

Be prepared for a power outage by keeping necessary items centrally located in your home. Take the time to ensure that everyone in your family is aware of the "kit." Periodically check your kit to see that batteries operate properly. The following is a list of items that are suggested to keep on hand:

1.  Flashlights for each family member

2.  Battery-operated radio and clock

3.  Extra batteries

4.  Containers of bottled water

5.  Canned, freeze-dried or dehydrated food, powdered milk, baby supplies for infants

6.  Non-electric can opener

7.  List of important phone numbers

8.  First-aid kit

Following a heatwave, there may be power outages that could last for several days. Stock canned foods, dry mixes and other staples that do not require refrigeration, cooking, water or special preparation. Be sure to include a manual can opener and eating utensils. The following items are suggested when selecting emergency food supplies. You may already have many of these on hand.

•Store at least a three-day supply of non-perishable food.

•Choose foods your family will eat.

•Remember any special dietary needs.

•Avoid foods that will make you thirsty.

•Choose salt-free crackers, whole grain cereals and canned foods with high liquid content.

•Ready-to-eat canned meats, fruits, vegetables and a can opener

•Protein or fruit bars

•Dry cereal or granola

•Peanut butter

•Dried fruit

•Nuts

•Crackers

•Canned juices

•Non-perishable pasteurized milk

•High energy foods

•Vitamins

•Food for infants

•Comfort/stress foods

SERVPRO of Lodi - Customer Review

8/17/2021 (Permalink)

I would go 10 Stars..... honestly!  About a month ago I called in to have them come out because we had a small over flow in our master bathroom.  My spouse and I cleaned it up and dried it ourselves but I wanted to make sure we got it good enough to prevent mold.  Perry came out and confirmed we did great work and there were zero concerns with potential mold.  I got an estimate for future carpet cleaning and knew this was my go to company for anything they do.

..... well ..... the past Saturday I came home and opened our garage door to water dripping from the bottom of it and flowing from our laundry room door.  My spouse was home and our water out hose disconnected from the washer and went everywhere.  I was so mind blown I didn't even know where to start so I went straight to our breaker box and killed everything while my mind kept racing.  Honestly, I couldn't remember the name of the company that came last month but I remembered Perry so I searched yelp again looking for the highest ranked business in the area and called.  When the call was answered they asked how they can help and I literally asked " do you have a Perry with this company "?  She said yes but he is unavailable at the moment can we get the next available tech to help?  I said yes please as long as I know I'm with the right company I need someone out here as soon as possible...

Why SERVPRO for Construction Protection

6/15/2021 (Permalink)

By utilizing our vast range of materials to protect HVAC systems, carpeting, walls, ceilings, and everything in between, SERVPRO of Lodi can save you time and money.

Why SERVPRO for Fire Protection

6/15/2021 (Permalink)

What is the acronym WEA?

6/15/2021 (Permalink)

Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) are emergency messages sent by authorized government- alerting authorities through your mobile carrier. Government partners include local and state public safety agencies, FEMA, the FCC, the Department of Homeland Security and the National Weather Service.

  • Extreme weather warnings
  • Local emergencies requiring evacuation or immediate action.
  • AMBER Alerts
  • Presidential Alerts during a national emergency

Smoke Alarms Saves Lives

6/15/2021 (Permalink)

Live it to the Professionals - Fire Safety

Why Hire Professionals for Fire Restoration

A disaster strikes when we least expect it, but all is not lost. With comprehensive fire restoration services, you can return to your usual life quickly and easily, as long as you don’t attempt DIY fire damage repair.

SERVPRO of Lodi, California is a fire and water cleanup and restoration company based in Lodi,CA. Since 1971, the experienced technicians have assisted homeowners throughout the area with essential fire restoration services to make the effects of disasters a thing of the past.

Any type of restoration services can be costly. While the thought might make you want to open up Google and search for a crafty remedy to your problems, this could actually make your home an even more dangerous, uninhabitable place to live. Many DIY homeowners will attempt to clear, clean, and repair the rooms where the damage occurred, but by doing so, they nearly always assume that other rooms of the home haven’t been affected.

Water damage from firefighting efforts won’t simply remain in one area; instead, the moisture from stagnant water or damp quarters could affect other parts of the house. If this isn’t handled immediately, it could lead to long-term damage.

The smoke from fires can infiltrate all areas of the home, and it’s tough to remove. There are many different types of smoke, and each one needs to be treated with certain chemicals for proper and permanent odor removal.

These chemicals will need to be handled with care, preferably by professionals who understand their dangers. SERVPRO of Lodi's technicians offer home inspections, damage assessment, and fire restoration services that are individualized to each home’s condition. They have the training and equipment needed to determine the extent of the damage.

Trust your professional fire restoration technicians to take care of your home. With 24/7 service, SERVPRO of Lodi will repair and restore your home as soon as you call them. For more information, call (209) 368-6119, and stay updated on social media by liking them on Facebook.

Rain, Rain go Away!

3/11/2021 (Permalink)

Fire Preparedness, Every Second Counts

9/2/2020 (Permalink)

We're available 24/7/365 at 209-368-6119

Temporary Power Outages

9/2/2020 (Permalink)

SERVPRO of Lodi - Satisfied Commercial Customer Review

8/6/2020 (Permalink)

About 15-20 minutes went by which allowed me to remove both the washer and dryer out.  I also cleared all the furniture away from the walls in two rooms and cleared out their closets.  Tom showed up, tested the radius of the water in the carpet, and got to work.  He was there for about 6 hours, came back after another job to provide a box to run everything so it wouldn't blow my breaker, and came back for inspection the next day.  After 2 days of following his instructions our home is finally back to where it needs to be.  I'm currently waiting for a phone call from Perry to wrap things up and schedule the full carpet cleaning.

If you need work done please contact this company first.  Do it right... water damage can cause so much damage if it's not corrected the right way the first time.  We have two young children and the last thing we would want is potential for mold.  Our youngest who is almost 2 was calling Tom uncle before he left the first night and every time he came back.  She's is pretty good judge of "energy" so for Tom he got 5 stars from her as well.  Tom if you get to see this thank you for your work.  I'm glad you took me up on the Gatorade offers and enjoyed the music I was playing for you.

Commercial Building Emergency Preparedness

7/13/2020 (Permalink)

If your commercial building were to suffer a water damage from a burst water main, would you and your employees be prepared?

Make a Plan!

First ask yourself some "what if?" scenarios. Would your employees know what to do? How will you ensure their safety? Once you ask yourself these questions, put them together and create an emergency plan for your business. The plan should include safety for everyone, a set of procedures to follow, and how to carry on with business to avoid a disruption in cash flow.

Here is a list of important things to include in your plan:

  • an emergency contact list (accessible from off-site)
  • emergency procedures
  • emergency staffing instructions

ANSI/IICRC Standards For Water Damage

6/16/2020 (Permalink)

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) set a standard and reference guide for water damage restoration that we at SERVPRO of Lodi follow.

This guide, known as the S500, provides a specific set of practical standards for water damage restoration. It is based on reliable restoration principles, research and practical experience.

There are 3 categories of water and 4 classifications of water damage.

With the relentless series of storms we've seen since last December, SERVPRO of Lodi has seen a marked increase in water damage from roof leaks. Roof leaks can be a challenge to deal with! A roof leak generally happens at the worst possible time, typically during the peak of a heavy rain/windstorm.

SERVPRO of Lodi has the tools to help track the leak to it's source. Once it's found a roofer can come by and either temporarily tarp the roof or get it repaired if the rains stopped!

Why SERVPRO for Construction Protection

6/15/2020 (Permalink)

By utilizing our vast range of materials to protect HVAC systems, carpeting, walls, ceilings, and everything in between, SERVPRO of Lodi can save you time and money.

Why SERVPRO of Lodi for Fire Protection

6/15/2020 (Permalink)

Smoke Alarm Saves!

6/15/2020 (Permalink)

Fire Restoration - Leave it to the Professionals!

Why You Should Hire Professionals for Fire Restoration - Lodi,California

Flooding in San Joaquin Delta

7/3/2019 (Permalink)

The past two winters the San Joaquin Delta area experienced flooding that they hadn't seen in over 30 years.

Flooding is the most common natural disaster in the United States, affecting all 50 states. Flooding typically occurs when there is a failure of water control structure, such as a levee, or when water due to rain and/or snow melt accumulates faster than it can be absorbed or carried away by a river.  San Joaquin County faces flooding risk from both of these causes.

In the early 1900s, many natural wetlands in the San Joaquin Valley were drained for agricultural use. A system of levees was introduced to prevent water from flooding the natural wetlands.

In the San Joaquin Valley, there are four major rivers that flow into the San Joaquin River. Melting snow pack from the Sierra Nevada as well as rainwater is carried through these rivers until they drain into the San Joaquin Delta.  In a normal year, reservoirs hold the water until it can be released in a controlled manner downstream, but high precipitation can fill the reservoirs.  Even on clear days, solar radiation can melt the snowpack, potentially overwhelming the reservoirs.

Why SERVPRO for Construction Protection

6/5/2019 (Permalink)

By utilizing our vast range of materials to protect HVAC systems, carpeting, walls, ceilings, and everything in between, SERVPRO of Lodi can save you time, money and headaches.

Smoke Alarms Save Lives

6/5/2019 (Permalink)

Fire Restoration - Leave It To The Professionals

6/5/2019 (Permalink)

Why You Should Hire Professionals for Fire Restoration - Lodi,California

A disaster strikes when we least expect it, but all is not lost. With comprehensive fire restoration services, you can return to your usual life quickly and easily, as long as you don’t attempt DIY fire damage repair.

SERVPRO of Lodi,California is a fire and water cleanup and restoration company based in Lodi,CA.

Mold Safety Tips

What to Do:

  • Stay away from affected areas and try to isolate and contain the area if possible.
  • Turn off the HVAC system and fans.
  • Contact SERVPRO of Lodi for mold remediation services.

When Contents Are Affected By Mold

6/5/2019 (Permalink)

If mold has affected a sizable spot of your home it is critical to have it professionally remediated.  But what do you do when mold affects other things - the contents and furnishings such as toys, contents, playthings, blankets, bedding, books and clothing? We see an increase in mold issues after heavy Spring rains such as those we had this year in LODI.

Here are our common sense suggestions:

Bath Toys - often fill with trapped water, mold breeding ground.  DISCARD.

Bedding/Blankets/Clothing - Fibers are food for mold and generally even laundering at sterilize settings may not remove the odor.  DISCARD & REPLACE.

Books - Paper and glue are food for mold.  DISCARD.

Plush Toys - DISCARD.

Hard Surface Plastic and Wood Contents- can sometimes be cleaned.

What if it is a special item, though recommended for discard?  Ask us - we will advise if there is a chance it can be restored in any way.  We understand some items have sentimental value but they may no longer be suitable for use.

We recommend that an independent assessment be completed when you have visible mold in your home over 10 SF.  They will report which specific items must be discarded when we come in to remediate your mold.

Why SERVPRO? For mold issues or concerns, call SERVPRO of Lodi! 209-368-6119 we are available 24/7

Importance of Insurance

6/4/2019 (Permalink)

We make sure that we have car insurance, health insurance, and sometimes we have health insurance for our pets too! It's also important to have insurance for our homes, whether it be a homeowners or renters insurance policy.

A survey conducted by the Insurance Information Institute in 2014 stated that although 95% of homeowners had homeowners insurance, only 37% of renters had an insurance policy. Renters insurance is very important and policies usually cover personal contents such as furniture and jewelry in the event of a fire, water damage, or due to theft. The cost of renters insurance is also very affordable, generally at less than $20/month. It can also help cover the cost of living expenses while your residence is being restored.

Take care to also be informed of what your policy includes. For example, earthquakes and flooding from outside water are rarely included and would be a separate policy.

If you don't have insurance, the costs can be excessive. At SERVPRO of Lodi offer competitive pricing and will do our best to work with your budget.

High Temperatures Will be Here Soon

Keeping necessary items centrally located in your home can prepare you for a potential fire damage.

Go Away Rain!

4/1/2019 (Permalink)

Once it's found a roofer can come by and either temporarily tarp the roof or get it repaired if the rains stopped!

Basic Mold Information from SERVPRO of Lodi

9/17/2018 (Permalink)

Microscopic mold spores naturally occur almost everywhere, both outdoors and indoors. This makes it impossible to remove all mold from a home or business. Therefore, mold remediation reduces the mold spore count back to its natural or baseline level. Some restoration businesses advertise “mold removal” and even guarantee to remove all mold, which is a fallacy. Consider the following mold facts:

  • Mold is present almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors.
  • Mold spores are microscopic and float along in the air and may enter your home through windows, doors, or AC/heating systems or even hitch a ride indoors on your clothing or a pet.
  • Mold spores thrive on moisture. Mold spores can quickly grow into colonies when exposed to water. These colonies may produce allergens and irritants.
  • Before mold remediation can begin, any sources of water or moisture must be addressed. Otherwise, the mold may return.
  • Mold often produces a strong, musty odor and can lead you to possible mold problem areas.
  • Even higher-than-normal indoor humidity can support mold growth. Keep indoor humidity below 45 percent.
  • If your home or business has a mold problem, we can inspect and assess your property and use our specialized training, equipment, and expertise to remediate your mold infestation.
